Equity Development Management was formed in 2001 and has grown to be a leading project management, development management and advisory consultancy.

We focus on our client’s objectives, their key drivers and ‘what the most important criteria for their project and development managers are’. Where possible we act as an extension of our client’s internal management and think about their projects as they do, to meet or exceed their operational, social and commercial objectives and create value for all stakeholders.

Every EDM project is planned and delivered in an environment of ongoing value management. Potential challenges, problems or disputes are identified early and resolved before they arise. And we strive to foster positive, productive relationships amongst all project participants providing a harmonious and enjoyable experience for all.

Bruce Wallis, Managing Director

With 29 years experience in the Australian property and construction industry, Bruce is well placed to assess the issues and opportunities presented by significant private and public building and construction projects.  Prior to forming Equity Development Management, Bruce spent 12 years with Leighton Properties in both Sydney and Melbourne and 2 years with the publicly listed Eurolynx Properties Limited providing property acquisition, analysis and management services to the Heine Property Trusts.

Throughout his career Bruce has established an extensive network of related industry professionals, positioning Equity Development Management to provide industry leading consulting services across the full spectrum of development projects.

Bruce holds a business degree in Urban Land Economics from the University of Western Sydney and in 2000 completed an Accelerated Management Program at Sydney’s AGSM.

Philip Riddell, Associate Director

Philip has 27 years of sound experience in development, project and construction management, within an entire spectrum of projects including design and construct of significant aged care, residential, commercial, retail, industrial and infrastructure projects.

Initially with Lend Lease (1988-1999), Philip joined Equity Development Management as an Associate in May 2008.

Philip’s experience includes a career initially as a structural engineer progressing to site engineer, site manager, design manager and delivery project manager.  For the past 15 years Philip has practiced as a client side project manager with the benefit of the site and design management experience gained through his career.

Philip has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Graduate School of Business, University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, Honours Class 1) degree from the University of Sydney.
