EDM was appointed to manage the refurbishment of Bernard Austin Lodge and the construction of new Kankama Independent Living Units (ILUs) for Uniting in Liverpool, NSW.
Bernard Austin Lodge is an existing 41-bed residential aged care facility (RACF) spread over two levels. Kankama comprises 26 existing one- and two-bedroom ILUs, a clubroom, and onsite parking. Uniting plans to expand the RACF to a total of 80 beds with a mix of single and double resident rooms, as well as construct two additional ILUs.
Works also include extensions to household wings, a new upper level, modifications to back-of-house areas, and the addition of a café, chapel, and landscaping works.
