EDM was appointed by Charingfield to manage the delivery of fire services upgrade works at their Charingfield Aged Care facility in Waverley, New South Wales.
The upgrades were required to comply with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Amendment (Fire Sprinkler Systems) Regulation 2012, which came into effect on 1 January 2013.
Works included the installation of wet and dry fire services, such as fire sprinklers, smoke detectors, addressable warning systems, fire indicator panels, and fire hydrants, boosters, and pumps. Minor building works were also undertaken, including new ceilings and painting.
EDM also acted as project manager for a further package of refurbishment works, which included a new lift and accessibility upgrades.
