The existing Hawkesbury Village, Richmond has 43 Independent Living Units (ILUs) with an open stormwater detention basin on the adjacent part of the site.
Co-located on the site is a 134 bed Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF).
The works included diversion of stormwater services enabling Uniting to add an additional 37 one and two bedroom ILUs, and new Club Room. The works also included new surface car parking, internal roads, elevated walkways, lifts and landscape works.
The RACF also underwent internal and external modifications with extension works to the main entry which consisted of a new reception, lobby, cafe, hair and beauty salon, new offices and porte cochere.
EDM was appointed in March 2017 as Project Managers for Uniting.
EDM’s scope has included appointment of the consultant team, design and approvals management, tender and award of the building contract and contract administration (including the Superintendent role under the Contract).
